1) Be a SPY

The best advice we have for getting started with webinars, is to attend them. Spend time sitting in on webinars hosted by other companies. You'll get a feel for the technology and will start learning more about what you'll want to incorporate in your own...as well as what you should avoid.

2) Select Your Technology CAREFULLY

There are plenty of webinar solutions on the market. Think about what you really need, what you're willing to spend and what you hope to get out of your provider. We've tried several of the big guys, have demo'd dozens of products and have our favorites. We'd be happy to share our experiences and opinions with you.

3) Appoint Your APOSTLE

You need at least one person in your business who is passionate about the concept of delivering webinars and can see that your vision is delivered. With this medium, it only takes one really great person to make a big impact. If you have on person who is ready to dive in, we can take care of the details or coach them until they are confident.

4) PREPARATION Is Everything

Seems like this goes without saying, but we can't stress enough the importance of preparation. Spend time developing your e-marketing plan, deciding on your message, your audience and your follow through will pay off long after the event is over.

5) Three Basic Ingredients for a GREAT Presentation

First, you need a really great speaker, who is passionate about your product, then you need to give them the technical support they need and top it off by creating a fabulous presentation. If you nail these three basic elements, you'll have your audience wrapped around your finger.

6) Do What You SAY You Are Going To Do

The relationship with your customers begins when the presentation is over. Once you say good-bye and sign off, it's time to roll up your sleeves and get to work. You should be following up right way. If you promised materials, make sure you send them. If you didn't know the answer to a question, find out and get the information on its' way. If you don't do this, then your entire effort will fall flat.

7) Ask For HELP

None of us knows everything, nor are we competent in all areas. Know your strengths and then find others who can help you fill in the gaps. When you choose to have us help you, we'll guide you through the entire process, helping you discover what your in-house talent can do and what level of outside help you might need.

8) Give it TIME

Webinars delivered infrequently won't produce the same results as those that are delivered on a regular basis. Give yourself time to get past the learning curve and give your customers time to embrace the concept. Word of mouth or viral marketing is very effective in the success of a webinar program. Give your community time to get used to this new offering.

9) Use Webinars As An OPPORTUNITY To Learn

Webinars allow your customers to ask questions about your company. You may be surprised by the questions that they pose. If you find that you're hearing the same questions time and again, then you may discover that you need to do a better job of covering this point in your printed materials, website or that you need to approach customer service from a new angle. The more questions you allow your customers to ask, the more you'll learn about your brand impression. This is a wonderful side benefit of webinars - in fact, you may discover a new business opportunity!

10) Have FUN!

The adrenaline rush that you get after delivering a webinar is quite gratifying. Knowing that you've reached out to people who are truly interested in getting to know your company is very fulfilling. When you are able to relax and enjoy the moment, you'll begin to understand how very important webinars can be to your business.
